According to the Office of Government Personnel, Congress and their families can have up to $10,000 a year in student loans forgiven with a cap of $60,000 in the House and $50,000 in the Senate. Taxpayers have been paying for Congress for years. So when I hear these right wingers like Ted Cruz arrogantly disparage today's college student borrowers it makes me (and my cat) want to puke.
