'Plague Doctor' Craze Sweeps Across UKwww.coasttocoastam.com/article/plague-doctor-craze-sweeps-across-uk/ March 29, 2021
ByTim Binnall
In a trend eerily similar to the creepy clown craze which swept across the globe a few years ago, reports of people dressed as plague doctors have cropped up in multiple communities throughout England over the last few days. The strange spate of sightings seemingly began in Scotland earlier this month where a young man wearing the creepy costume caused something of a stir in several towns until police caught up to him and advised him to stop scaring people. While that particular 'reign of terror' may have come to an end, it appears to have unleashed a wave of plague doctors across the United Kingdom.
Much like at the height of the clown craze, keeping track of all of the appearances by such unsettling individuals is rather difficult, especially since accounts of a 'plague doctor' appearing in a community is more often than not an online rumor spread on localized social media with varying degrees of evidence for such an individual actually being seen. That said, authorities are taking the matter seriously. For example, in the town of Cheshunt, police informed residents that they were aware of the stories going around and have stepped up their patrols, but have no reports of anyone encountering a plague doctor.
Meanwhile, in a testament to how widespread the craze has become, authorities in the town of Scunthorpe, which is approximately 163 miles away from Cheshunt, also issued a statement telling residents that there is no truth to the rumors of a plague doctor lingering around an area school and chasing children. Over 200 miles away from Scunthorpe, police in the town of Wirral acknowledged tales of "an unknown person wearing all black clothing, a cape and a black mask with a large beak similar to a crow" also being seen near a school and declared the matter to be a hoax as they "have had no confirmed sightings of any person purporting to be this character."
That's not to say that all of the purported plague doctor sightings are merely rumors as a person in the town of Kidderminster actually managed to capture a video of an individual wearing the unnerving costume. And, back in Scotland, another of the characters has been seen at least three times in the town of Dumfries. Authorities who have addressed the trend attribute it to, unsurprisingly, a fad from TikTok and, oddly enough, say that it originated in the United States, which is somewhat harder to believe since America has yet to experience a wave of plague doctor sightings in a manner similar to what we're seeing in England. That said, should the craze continue, it wouldn't be shocking if such a scenario occurred.

Watch: Lightning Strike Shatters Tree in Seconds www.coasttocoastam.com/article/watch-lightning-strike-shatters-tree-in-seconds/ April 12, 2021
ByTim Binnall
An amazing piece of security camera footage from a high school in Wisconsin shows a lightning strike shattering a sizeable tree in seconds. According to a local media report, the jaw-dropping event occurred during a storm on Thursday morning in the city of Wautoma. As students were preparing to take a test, they were shaken from their studies by a monstrous thunder clap seemingly coming from right outside the school. The discovery of a downed tree near the building and a subsequent check of the security camera footage led them to find the stunning scene that had been captured on film.
In the video, a monstrous lightning bolt can be seen striking the top of the tree, causing it to briefly illuminated by fire. Seconds later, the entire tree crumbles to the ground in an instant, leaving behind only a pile of destroyed timber and broken branches. Reflecting on the remarkable moment wherein their school day took a dramatic turn, Wautoma high school principal Jennifer Johnson said, "initially, the students and staff were startled by the event; however, after realizing what had just happened, they were fascinated by the rare incident that occurred just feet from them."

Watch: Security Camera Films 'Baby Dinosaur' Dashing Past Florida Home April 19, 2021
ByTim Binnall
A woman in Florida believes that her home security system captured footage of a baby dinosaur dashing through her yard. According to a local media report, the strange scene unfolded outside the residence of Cristina Ryan in the city of Palm Coast. Early one morning last week, she says, her security picked up the presence of something in her yard and began filming. The oddity in question, as seen in the video above, appears to be some kind of creature running past her house. www.fox35orlando.com/news/video-florida-woman-says-she-spotted-a-baby-dinosaur-running-through-yard
Ryan expressed bewilderment over what the animal in the video could have been, indicating that "any animal we can come up with that would be 'walking' at 3:40 in the morning, wouldn't walk this way." Left with no solution to the mystery, the baffled homeowner mused that "maybe I've watched Jurassic Park too many times, but I see a raptor or other small dinosaur!" Ryan claims that her assessment has been echoed by several of her friends who have seen the video.
Some have argued that the creature could be a bird, but Ryan dismissed that explanation because "whatever it is appears to have front legs." As such, she declared "I'm sticking with raptor" as the identity of the oddity. Meanwhile, viewers online have offered a variety of possibilities for what the mystery creature could have been, including a dog with a reflective collar or perhaps a Komodo dragon. What's your best guess for the animal spotted in Ryan's yard? Share your theory with us at the Coast to Coast AM Facebook page. www.facebook.com/coasttocoastam

Watch: 'Crab Humanoid' Caught on Film? April 26, 2021
By Tim Binnall
A bizarre piece of footage circulating online purportedly shows a humanoid entity scurrying down a road in a crab-like fashion. The very weird video was reportedly captured by a home security system in Costa Rica and was shared on Reddit by a resident of the country earlier this month. Alas, beyond that bit of background information, little is known concerning the circumstances by which the scene unfolded. Be that as it may, the footage is rather compelling by way of its sheer strangeness.
In the video, a dog lurking on a dimly lit road is being taken aback by something approaching it from off-screen. When the oddity comes into view, it appears to be a human-sized creature walking on all fours in a manner akin to a crab. The bizarre beast (or being) simply scrambles down the road and vanishes into the night. In the original footage that was posted to Reddit, several dogs can be heard reacting in an agitated fashion to the curious interloper.
As for what it could have been, some have speculated that it could be a legendary Latin American entity known as 'La Mona.' This being is said to be a witch that can transform into an animal and stalks unsuspecting and unfortunate individuals at night. Another theory offered by some viewers is that the 'crab humanoid' is merely an eccentric or possibly intoxicated individual having a bit of fun. And, of course, one cannot rule out the possibility that the footage is a well-crafted hoax.

A Pennsylvania woman rescued a ‘scared’ animal. No one knows what it is news.yahoo.com/pennsylvania-woman-rescued-scared-animal-180258084.html WPXI Francesca Gariano Sat, January 22, 2022, 11:02 AM·2 min read
A woman in Pennsylvania has experts flummoxed by the animal she discovered outside of her home.
Christina Eyth rescued the animal earlier this week near her home in Fairfield Township after finding paw prints outside of her door. Eyth followed the tracks, assuming they had belonged to her neighbor's dog after they had gotten loose. The tracks ended up leading her to directly an unidentified animal, which Eyth said was exhibiting "scared behavior."
“I peeked outside the door and that’s whenever I noticed the animal on my left hand side and it was so scared and so cold and shivering,” Eyth recalled in an interview with NBC News. "... All I could think about is 'This animal needs help.'"
Rescuing the animal was one thing: Eyth was able to lure the animal into her basement and out of the cold. Since then, though, the animal has been a mystery.
Related video: Monkeys on the loose in Pennsylvania after truck crash Eyth said that first, she thought the creature might be a coyote or a dog. After calling Wildlife Works, a local rescue, and transferring the creature to their facility for care, there have only been more questions.
Morgan Barron, a certified wildlife rehabilitator at Wildlife Works, had trouble identifying what this animal could be and told NBC News she couldn’t “definitively say what it is.”
“But to err on the side of caution since they can carry rabies and since it might be a coyote, we can keep it here, get genetic testing done, and then kind of go from there," Barron explained.
Barron said that since the animal's behavior is on the timid side and it isn't exhibiting signs of aggression, she believes that the animal may be a dog. In the meantime, the animal is currently being treated for mange and is being kept in isolation.

An animal rehabilitation center in western Pennsylvania has released the findings of a DNA test for a rescued critter brought in to the center last month.
"The results are in!" the agency wrote on its Facebook page on Monday. "Our 'mystery animal' DNA sample came back, 100% coyote!"
The Youngwood-based organization began treating the then-unidentified creature on Jan. 17, after a woman in Fairfield Township found paw prints outside her home that led her to an emaciated, freezing animal.
At first, the woman kept the animal in her basement until TJ's Rescue Hideaway, a local foster-based rescue, could transport it to Wildlife Works.

No one at Wildlife Works, a wildlife rehab, could identify the animal species with certainty because of the creature's poor health and physical appearance.
The staff then took samples from the animal for DNA testing to determine what species is under their care, the results of which were revealed this week.

"What do you think I am, dog or coyote?" Wildlife Works wrote with a photo of the animal on Facebook in January. "This pup was admitted to us last night. Suspect it has mange and we will be treating it accordingly. We also will be doing testing to confirm what it is!"
Morgan Barron of Wildlife Works told WPXI at the time that the animal was "very timid, very scared and not aggressive" and that this behavior led her to believe the creature was a dog.
"I honestly can't definitively say what it is, but to err on the side of caution, since they can carry rabies and since it might be a coyote ... [we will] get genetic testing done and go from there," Barron added.

In another update since finding the animal, the rehab center shared the animal's progress while awaiting test results. "We are overwhelmed and thankful for all the love and support this guy is getting! Thank you to everyone that has donated and shared his story," the facility wrote on Jan. 24.
"We did not expect his story to get as big as it did, but we are thankful for the awareness it has given to wildlife rehabilitation. With that being said, we are still waiting for the results of the DNA sample to come in," Wildlife Works added. "He is doing much better now and is much more alert than when he came to us last week. He is still not showing extreme signs of aggression but is more on the defensive side."
However, before the center got the DNA results back to identify the coyote, it escaped. It has not been located.

'Dead' Woman Brings Funeral to Halt by Banging on Inside of Casket for Help May 03, 2022
By Tim Binnall
Mourners at a funeral in Peru were astounded when the woman being laid to rest at the service suddenly began banging on the inside of her casket in a frantic attempt to reveal that she was still alive. The shocking scene reportedly unfolded late last month in the city of Chiclayo after Rosa Isabel Céspedes Callaca had been involved in a terrible car crash that took the life of her brother-in-law and left her three children badly injured. At the time of the accident, doctors believed that she had also perished in the tragic event and her family subsequently set about burying Callaca the following day at a funeral that won't soon be forgotten by those in attendance.
As her family and a sizeable crowd of friends were paying respects to their departed loved one, they were taken aback when they began hearing a banging sound coming from the casket. Insisting that something was amiss, they demanded that the funeral director open the closed coffin, which is when he discovered that the 'dead' woman had opened her eyes and was actually still alive, although in a very weakened state. Callaca was then rushed to a hospital and placed on life support until, sadly, she passed away a short time later.
Understandably outraged by the oversight, her family is now demanding answers from the hospital where she had been declared dead. Particularly troubling to them is that, based on what occurred at her funeral, it would seem that Callaca had actually slipped into a coma following the car accident and that doctors may have been able to save her had they realized this before making the misjudgement that she had passed away. To that end, they indicated that they will even exhume her body if it will allow for some clarification as to the exact cause and circumstances of her puzzling passing.

A 74-year-old woman "died" from coronavirus and her family cremated her. Weeks later, she called them because she was alive www-univision-com.translate.goog/shows/primer-impacto/una-mujer-de-74-anos-murio-por-coronavirus-y-su-familia-la-cremo-semanas-despues-los-llamaron-porque-estaba-viva?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en
Alba Maruri , 74, was admitted to a hospital with a fever and respiratory problems. A few days later, they received her body from her and cremated it. The hospital, however, realized they misidentified her body, as the woman woke up three weeks later from a hospital coma.
A surreal situation is that experienced by a family in Ecuador. Alba Maruri , 74, was admitted to the hospital with a fever and respiratory problems and hours later she was pronounced dead, according to the patient's family.
His relatives received a corpse after a week, which was immediately cremated in the midst of the health emergency due to the coronavirus, which in Ecuador has left thousands of cases and scenes of corpses in the streets.
The septuagenarian woke up three weeks after a coma, asked for her sister to be called, and hospital staff informed relatives the next day that she was alive.
Maruri "had been unconscious for three weeks and because of the covid madness they confused the names and left her for dead," her nephew Juan Carlos Ramírez said on social media on Friday.
The body was delivered by the Guayaquil hospital to Jaime Morla, another nephew.
The man told AFP by phone on Saturday that he went to the morgue and that almost two meters away from several bodies, as a precaution to avoid contagion of the virus, he pointed out that one of those on his back corresponded to that of his aunt . .
