Dr. Berg talks about the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). This is other known as the kissing virus and 90% of the adult population has it. It can initially cause: -fever -fatigue -swollen throat and glands
EBV can then later in life lead to:
*Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) *Fibromyalgia *Hypothalamus *Rheumatoid Arthritis *Hodgkin Lymphoma *M.S. and other autoimmune conditions
This virus can go dormant and in remission and can be reactivated during times of stress and nutritional deficiencies. Whats interesting is that fact that only a part of the gene expression can occur giving you all sorts of symptoms but not the full blown infection.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
-Support the adrenal glands -Trace mineral support (selenium, magnesium and boron) -Monolaurin

Taiwo Omotosho 15 hours ago (edited) I had EBV infection, Specifically Infectious Mononucleosis in the mid-90s, and was unwell for a number of weeks. Fast forwarding, On reflection, I had reactivations over the years without knowing what they were at the time. But I knew that Omega 3 fatty acids, flaxseeds, and a number of supplements including kinds of seafood helped me a lot. Additionally, I used to take a lot of Ensure Plus drinks because of the various minerals and vitamins in them. I was a milk addict though had eliminated dairy from my diet completely. My primary physician has only just confirmed EBV immunity on Serum EBV serology because my Specialist refused to offer the test. Life goes on ..Important to reduce /avoid reactivations and continue to be optimistic. Taking a cocktail of supplements does help and learning to say 'NO' also helps a lot. I heard IP6 Celforte (Enzymatic therapy brand), COQ10, Vitamin C and activated Vitamin B complex with extra vitamin B12, supplements and Adaptogens like Maca root, Rhodiola (avoid if on antidepressant), Siberian ginseng, Green tea, etc have helped. Inclusions of root vegetables and beans rich in minerals and cofactors as well as inositol rich foods and essential fatty acids do a lot plus ORGAN MEAT
Philip Taylor 8 months ago I've been chronically sick for 6 years now with symptoms of chronic fatigue/POTS/neurological symptoms and severe gastrointestinal symptoms. My illness started out with what felt very much like mono in a time where I was overly stressed and anxious. Dr's suspected EBV based on symptoms, but I tested negaitive. I was then tested about a year later, and then again after that. All negative for EBV
Megs H 2 weeks ago Did your doctor order the right tests? Asking cause most don't. To determine reactivation the Early Antigen test is required which most doctors leave out or don't know about.
Karen Polanchek, FNTP 3 years ago I have HSV1 that is inflaming my prefrontal cortex. STRESS led to sugar binge eating and then pain, numbness, tingling in feet and hands. Culprits: stress, sugar caffeine. I’m on many vit/min now: zinc, B, c, d, lysine hcl, omega 3. Going low contact with my mother helps too. Thank you!
Trace Collins 3 years ago Thanks for the video. Very interesting, esp about the mosquitos. I wondered why I have such a bad reaction now. Ive has fibromyalgia for 15 years. doctors always told me they don’t know what caused it but it could be having ebv as a teen. I def notice a decrease in symptoms when I limit stress. My question is if my blood was tested recently for Epstein Barr and numbers showed negative that doesn’t necessarily mean that I shouldn’t be having symptoms? Will Blood tests should show if the virus has resurfaced? I guess is what I’m asking ^_^
Shawna Johnson 2 years ago If your EBV has reactivated it will show up if the doctor orders the correct tests. There's 3 other blood tests besides just the general mono test (the general test just basically says positive or negative) that will show the EBV viral load, EBV IgG VAC, and EBV nuclear antibodies. I got my results from these a week ago and my viral load was over 200 (normal range is like 0-10), and I was EBV+ plus had an abnormally high amount of antibodies. I was diagnosed with reactivated EBV/chronic mono and fibromyalgia. We suspect that my mono was first active in December 2017 when I had a "flu" I never quite got over. Oh, and my inflammation markers were abnormally high as well and I was positive for lupus, but doc said these were a direct result of the EBV. So yes, if it's the EBV causing your issues then it should definitely show up, especially if your symptoms are severe.
Evy 1 month ago I been reaching this and I have found out that if your antibodies are negative but if is 10.9 positive you have Mano even if the doctor is telling you, you have only antibodies.
Taiwo Omotosho 16 hours ago (edited) @evy There is IGM and IGG concept. Active infection is different from Chronic infection. Some folks have a Chronic, Active State. I don't think there is a video on these aspects on this channel. Some channels covered these topics because EBV is quite common but some folks develop associated diseases later. That's the reason he emphasized the role of stress and nutrient/mineral deficiencies. Other triggers of reactivation also include vaccines, heavy metal toxicities, radiation like CT scans, etc. Know your trigger factors and flee from toxic environments. Healing is a journey so one must remain optimistic for with God, All things are possible.
Ana Perry 3 years ago Thanks so for addressing this. I have tried a couple things on your list, I'll keep tying till I get in remission. Question - can you be exposed to ebv but not develop mono?
Dr. Eric Berg DC 3 years ago sure
Chyna DeadDoll 3 years ago Yup! Because that's my problem currently.
Joseph S 3 years ago Chyna DeadDoll do you have swollen lymph nodes?
Chyna DeadDoll 3 years ago @joseph S Actually, no, I don't have that symptom. I have a lot of different symptoms that don't seem to be on the list but I do have this virus and it's out of control.
Ghonah Ali 6 months ago I had this virus reactivated three weeks after I recovered from Covid! I had enlarged spleen, low red blood cells and high inflammation. I am on Cortisone now and scared to have the virus again after I stop taking Cortisone.
Jetthead18 1 month ago After having covid it makes me wonder those who come down with covid have Epstein Barre
K S 5 days ago I’ve had long haulers for a year now. I just got tested for EBV and it’s showing positive so a possible reactivation. Now looking to confirm that and help.
stefrzchicago 3 years ago (edited) Is there any point in getting tested for EBV? Or does the blood test just tell you if the antibodies are or were recently activated? If EBV goes in remission but you still have the virus in your body, will it even show up on labs? It sounds like since 90% of the population have had or have EBV, it is better to just treat the symptoms?
Shawna Johnson 2 years ago Yes there's tests that will show the difference! My rheumatologist diagnosed me with reactivated EBV/chronic mono as confirmed by bloodwork. There was 4 different tests for the EBV. My viral load is over 200. My rheumatologist said he's only seen one other case similar and that reactivated EBV is actually quite rare in adults, but according to this video and others it actually seems to be quite common 🤷♀️
Shawna Johnson 2 years ago Also, yes 95% of adults carry EBV but very few become active and even less become reactivated. It's kinda like how nearly everyone has the staph bacteria, but not everyone gets a severe infection of it.
Chloé's Prophetic Messages 2 years ago I had some blood work done and it’s been confirmed I have EBV but it’s in a reactive phase which also means I had it before. I also have an enlarged liver with cirrhosis 😔💔 The positive thing is that I now KNOW for sure what’s been ailing me. Knowledge is power 💥 Now I can take the appropriate steps to get healthy. I’m so glad I pushed my doctors for these tests. I’m also thankful for Medical Medium and Dr. Berg for giving us information we wold otherwise not be privy to. I’m going to see a GI doctor so we’ll see what happens next 💙💜
