It has been over 4 years now since he was last online here. It was nice of him to keep most of his material available for fans. I hope he is ok and do think of him. He has provided invaluable footage and digital corrections of some media.
Here is a list of his posts (accessible to members) that have some great Ronstadt material:

Hello Everyone. It's been a long time. linda2006nicci emailed me about the concert discussion and as you haven't got a good copy of it yet, here it is. I downloaded it from iPlayer and have uploaded it to MediaFire for anyone to download via the link. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> OGWT, Linda Ronstadt, 13 Nov 1976Alan

Hello everyone, A new live Linda concert has surfaced. It's from the Troubadour in west Hollywood, California, 17 Mar 1976. It's on torrent site Dime, but for those unable to get it from there I've made an mp3 version and uploaded it to Mediafire as a zip file. Mediafire download link for complete concert (zip, 150MB) Here's a sample track. It Doesn't Matter Anymore (mp3, 8MB)01 Colorado 02 That’ll Be The Day 03 Love Has No Pride 04 Silver Threads and Golden Needles 05 Willin' 06 Someone to Lay Down Beside Me 07 It Doesn't Matter Anymore 08 Dialogue (Prop 15 Nuclear Waste Safeguards) 09 When Will I Be Loved? 10 Lose Again 11 Faithless Love 12 Heartaches in Heartaches (sung by Andrew Gold) 13 Long Long Time 14 I Can't Help It (If I'm Still In Love With You) 15 Desperado 16 Band Introduction 17 Love Is A Rose 18 You're No Good 19 Heatwave 20 Rivers Of Babylon 21 Heart Like A Wheel It was one of a series of concerts to highlight Proposition 15 concerning Nuclear Power in California, hence Linda mentioning it during the concert. The quality's pretty good too. Alan

Unfortunately, the sheet music on the LR Songbooks as Partridge posted above doesn't contain guitar tabs. The boxes at the start of the music lines are guitar chords, Guitar chordsGuitar tabs are for beginners learning to play as shown below in this small image from link in previous post. Guitar tabsAlan

Hello Victoria. This Youtube video may help you as he describes the difference between the Eva Cassidy and Linda guitar versions of the song. You can also download the tabs from his youtube page. The sheet music for Eva Cassidy's version of 'It Doesn't Matter Anymore' with full guitar tabs can be downloaded from these sites for $4.99. sheetmusicplus.comonlinesheetmusic.comHope that helps. Hello Bill, Glad you managed to get your DVD burnt OK. FF to next song can be a bit hit and miss. As long as you can select the song you want from the menu you're doing OK. Just to see if it works, I actually tried converting the mp4 files to avi and using Win7 DVD Maker and it worked fine. However my conversion software gave me a choice of about 10 different codecs to create the avis. I chose H.264. It seems your software made the choice for you and chose a codec DVD Maker didn't understand. When using keepvid to download the YouTubes, select the 480p mp4 as that should have the optimum quality for a DVD. Alan

Glad you're all enjoying it. Again from another thread - how do you make DVDs from mp3 files since Windows DVD Maker doesn't recognize them? Cornish Pirate should know the answer. Anyone else? Bill Hi Bill, I haven't used Win7 DVD Maker but I found this tutorial which may help. how-burn-dvds-windows-dvd-makerAs you've found out it doesn't support mp4 input files. You tried using avi but this is a bit of an outdated 'catch all' format which internally can contain different formats so unless you can state what 'type' of avi you want to create it may not be readable by another program even though it says it supports avi. DVDs are written using a specific specification of the mpeg-2 format so the best option is to select that as your output in your conversion program. It may be called just mpeg or mpg, mp2v, mpv2 (although the last two specify vision only so audio may not be recorded). If it has the option 'DVD complient mpeg' format, that's the one to go for as not all mpeg-2 files can be read by all DVD players. I know it's all so confusing. Hope this helps. Alan

Just checked my mediafire account and it seems I also uploaded an mp4 version as well as the wmv. It's a smaller file size and is better quality visually with noticeably less video noise. Here's the download link. (Click on the bold text ) Linda Ronstadt, Orpheum Theatre, Boston, 14 May 1995, Full concert!! (mp4, 640 x 480p, 533MB, 1hr 42min) Alan

Ooh! I missed this thread coming back up. Thanks for the band info John Beland. The only video clips I have of Linda from 1970 & 71 where her band is present are 1970, Playboy After Dark 1971, Johnny Cash Show 1971, Mike Douglas Show These have been on Youtube but many have gone due to copyright infringements. Long Long Time Fan, you're welcome. The other video clips of LLT I have are 1970, Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour 1970, Playboy After Dark 1970, The Darin Invasion 1970, Johnny Cash Show 1971, Midnight Special Any of them you want I can upload here. I used wmv for the best PC compatability, but if you want mp4 or any other format let me know.

Sorry I missed this thread earlier. Here you go Sean (fabtastique), although the link revin2go posted looks very similar. I think the version I tweaked had a large lipsync error and black level problems. Linda, Kobe, Japan, 1993Alan

Here it is... Linda Ronstadt, Orpheum Theatre, Boston, 14 May 1995, Full concert!! (wmv, 640 x 480p, 693MB, 1hr 42min) The first 30 secs are a bit shaky as the camera is adjusted. I can do an mp4 if requested. (it does look slightly sharper than the wmv). I imagine you can make your own mp4 now fabtastique as you have the original. There are also free players for the ipad which will play wmv files. Feel free to upload the DVD files if you wish fabtastique. My upload speed is rather slow, so would take 6 hours Alan

It's coming... uploading it now. Dime torrent site is as Tony said at www.dimeadozen.org. Here's it's FAQ on signups. Is DIME membership closed? Every time I try to register, you're always full.If your attempts to reach DIME's registration page are giving you an error message that says DIME signup is closed for a few days, then it is, and we expect to reopen registration soon. But if you're getting a message that we're temporarily full and we're at our membership cap, then we are still accepting new members, but we have no slots at this particular instant. There is a cap in order to keep the load on DIME's servers (and the load on DIME's moderators!) at a manageable level, so that users can get the best possible service and support. Every ten minutes around the clock a sweep runs that removes any accounts that have expired since the last run. DIME's home page tells you how many new accounts were opened in the preceding twenty-four hours, and that's a good gauge of how many openings there might be over the next twenty-four hours. So if you get the message about the membership cap, keep trying, and good luck. We do not have a waiting list, nor (at this writing) an invitation system. You just have to snag a slot when one is available. We've found that if you keep trying for about thirty minutes at a sitting a couple of times a day it should not take long. While you're trying, or as soon as you've registered, be sure to read DIME's Cautions for New Users. Please note: some people have offered donations to get an account. We cannot accept a donation under such terms. We're happy and grateful when people who already are members help us cover DIME's expenses, but if we granted access in return for a monetary consideration, that would be just as if we sold bootlegs, so it is out of the question. I managed to get an account by trying in bursts at the 10 min intervals. Got in the following day. Looks like fabtastique got lucky. If you're not internet savvy torrenting can seem rather complicated. Alan

Subject:New 1995 Boston Concert VideoI thought you'd like it. If you like I can upload the whole concert in full 480 lines resolution to a file sharing site. It'll be around 1GB (1000MB) in size. I'll use my normal wmv format so everyone is able to play it on their PCs, but if some of you would like mp4 (AVC video, AAC audio) I can upload that after. For the same quality mp4 should be a smaller file size and can be played on newer DVD players and most Blu-ray players. Alan
