I am a liberal (pragmatic liberal), registered Dem and I took ivermectin (before vaccine availability) AND IT WORKED! I waited as long as I could but was getting so sick with covid I had no choice but to begin the horse paste at the CORRECT dosage. Within hours my sense of smell and taste returned and in two days covid was gone. NOW I have natural immunity which is at least 13 times better than vaccinations that are waning after a few months requiring a booster. Rather than turn a possible cure into a political game might it make sense for a "real" study on this and other drugs that can be used off label to stop this awful disease? If you do a search you will find ivermectin and other drugs have worked well for millions around the world. So to all you "neigh-sayers" GET A GRIP. Don't let your partisanship for idiotic conservatives kill the use of a possibly viable treatment early in this disease that is not going away anytime soon with or without vaccines. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
