Linda Ronstadt Teresa Singer/Songwriter Teresa teams up with Linda Ronstadt to release new album "The Playground" www.fkco.com/singersongwriter-teresa-teams-up-with-linda-ronstadt-to-release-new-album-the-playground POSTED AUGUST 18, 2008 FKCO
We warmly welcome new client and old-time friend Teresa to our family of talented musicians. Teresa, a Nashville singer/songwriter/guitarist is also a recipient of the NACA Entertainer of the Year Awardbased on the unending popularity she’s gained from her recent national tour of college venues. She has two previously released albums, but has just released her third album which represents her most ambitious work to date. The album is produced by Teresa’s long-time musical hero, Linda Ronstadt, and contains several tracks of Linda singing background vocals.
Many years ago, Teresa and firm member Alan Friedman used to share the stage together in an early-eighties, Hartford-based rock band called Storm (all-weather rock). Teresa, the band’s lead vocalist, left Hartford in the late eighties to pursue her musical career in Nashville. She’s earned a respected reputation in Nashville for her tenacity and hard-work as a talented singer and songwriter. We have all the faith in the world that Teresa will prove to be one of the most creative talents to “make it” on both the Nashville and national music scene.

TERESA IS ON HER WAY UP, WITH HELP FROM RONSTADTwww.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-xpm-1998-08-06-9808060034-story.html ROGER CATLIN; Courant Rock Critic THE HARTFORD COURANT
It had been eight years since Teresa Pugliese left East Hartford for Nashville. And though she had carved out a good career on the college circuit under the name Teresa, she was still waiting for the big break.
She signed a record deal with Epic and recorded half an album before it all came to a halt when her producer -- and label president -- left in an executive shuffle.
About that time a fellow songwriter offered to send her tape to a friend of his, Linda Ronstadt, to see if she'd be interested in helping out.
Ronstadt material was the staple of Teresa's repertoire as she grew up in East Hartford, singing in Connecticut bands, from the rocking Storm to the country-flavored T and the Rangers, Ronstadt material was the staple of Teresa's repertoire, too.
Although they shared a taste of music, there wasn't a guarantee the star would be interested in co- producing the newcomer.
Teresa's friend, Adam Mitchell, sent the tape off and called a week later with the news. "He said, 'She loves your voice, loves your songs and wants to work with you.' " Teresa says, recalling the phone message of about a year ago.
"I died. For about an hour, I didn't tell anyone, not my husband, anybody. I just listened to that phone message over and over. Until I finally said, 'OK, this isn't a trick message. It's real.' "
Teresa has completed half an album with Ronstadt co-producing as well as singing background on some songs. "Linda Ronstadt singing backup vocals for me," she says, as if still not believing it. "Imagine that."
A single is all she managed to get out on Epic last year; she hopes to release her finished album in early 1999.
She still maintains a heavy college performing schedule, winning "Country Artist of the Year" from the National Association of Campus Activities annually for the last four years.
Teresa takes a break in the schedule to perform a free show Wednesday presented by the Willington Community Council at Center School Field at 6 p.m. It will be the first home- state appearance in two years from the singer who often appeared in concerts by country station WWYZ.
"You want to come back home and be the hero," she says. "I'd love to come back with an album completed. I used to play every one of the Great American Music Fests, but the last time I swore to myself that the next time I came, I'd be a headliner. I hope I can keep that promise."
In case of rain, the Wednesday show will play the Hall School in Willington.

EAST HARTFORD'S OWN TERESAwww.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-xpm-2003-12-11-0312111629-story.html ERIC R. DANTON THE HARTFORD COURANT December 11, 2003
Connecticut has plenty of country-music fans but hasn't produced all that many country singers. So the Nutmeg State can take pride in Teresa, an East Hartford native who moved to Nashville to make a record in 1989 and decided to stay.
Born Teresa Pugliese, she played in local bands, including Little Sister and Storm, before falling in love with country music in the mid '80s. She performed with the band T and the Rangers and played solo shows at clubs around New England. At the time, songwriter Gary Burr lived in Connecticut. Teresa tracked him down shortly before he moved to Nashville and followed him to Tennessee when he agreed to produce her debut in 1989.
She has since released two more, including this year's "Brave New Girls." The record showcases Teresa's crystalline vocals and smooth, tasteful country arrangements on a batch of 12 tunes, nine of which she co-wrote. (Linda Ronstadt co-produced five songs on the album). Teresa will play a bunch of them when she returns home Friday for a gig with Jeff Pevar at the Hungry Tiger, 120 Charter Oak St., Manchester. Admission is $8; music starts at 9 p.m. Information: 860-649-1195.

With the 2019 release of the documentary, The Sound of My Voice, and with all the coverage of her battle with Parkinson’s, it is fair to say that Linda Ronstadt’s public profile hasn’t been this high in over 20 years. The same holds true with the public’s desire to hear her music.
The timing couldn’t be better for the creation of the Linda Ronstadt tribute band, Long Long Time. It makes sense, but it is a challenge to find a vocal talent capable of doing Linda Ronstadt and her songs justice. Enter Teresa, former Sony Music Nashville recording artist, 7-time college entertainer of the year and 2-time college female vocalist of the year. When asked about this challenge, Suber remarked, “Not only was her music the soundtrack of my youth, Linda Ronstadt was the artist who inspired me to chase my own dream of being a professional singer. I wouldn’t be doing this unless I knew in my heart that I could do right by Linda and her music.”
Teresa adopted the same philosophy in putting together her band of A-list musicians. Collectively they comprise Long Long Time, named for Ronstadt’s first solo radio hit. LLT transports its audience to the 70’s, the height of Ronstadt’s popularity. Committed to authentically presenting the Ronstadt Sound by recreating the signature solos and vocal arrangements, Teresa and her band do right by the best selling female rock artist of the 70’s showing Ronstadt’s music and sound are as relevant today as ever.
