This must be the tearful performance John is talking about. I am surprised he kept things together so well. I think it must be the most popular pet tribute song ever written. Anyone who has ever experienced the unconditional love and joy of having a pet friend understands this song of loss. I can barely listen to it anymore as I lose so many rescue animals each year from old age, bad circumstances they got themselves into or just plain abuse and neglect from others before they came to me.
