At day 0 of infection and an incubation period of about 5 days. Day 5-12 is the symptomatic period on average. About 80% of people will exit this period with no intervention, no need for oxygen no ER visit. A portion of the 20% that come in ill with COVID-19 here is what they look like as far as characteristics/demographics date of source is 4/4/2020. Report coming from 2249 patients with COVID-19 www.icnarc.org/DataServices/Attachments/Download/76a7364b-4b76-ea11-9124-00505601089b
So you've got a certain time period between the onset of symptoms until when you need to go to the ICU. The time period between the onset of symptoms and needing to go to the hospital is the golden period of time that you need to act to make a difference.
This statement above and below are coming from a front line doctor (pulmonologist). Basically He is saying since this is a novel coronavirus meaning new and there is no randomized placibo control trials for anything, he is trying to communicate some simple remedies to reduce the tsunami of patients coming in. I repeat this is coming from a front line doc not a chiropractor.
Hot/Cold therapy treatment can potentially boost immunity with coronavirus. He cites 4 studies below indicate affects the part of the SARS COV2 natural cells and monocytes. Keep in mind there is no studies on this with COVID-19 but he is using the next best scenario studies if you follow. Hot and cold temperature regulation affects part of the innate immune system that helps with targeting viral infections. Hyperthermia and then cooling off actually improved surrogates for the immune system monocytes and their stimulation/ response to foreign invaders.

Consider taking contrast showers 4-6 minutes warm/hot water, clean yourself, then rinse with 1-3 minutes cold water. Every day. Takes 1-2 weeks to get used to it, but it's well worth it. Or hot bath/then cold shower. Consult with your doctor first but here is a instructional video on contrast showers vimeo.com/165013134/346f3ef87a
Do not go out unless you have to. Leave your shoes at the door. Wash your hands before leaving work and as soon as you get home. Wipe down supplies you buy (milk cartons, water jugs, etc.) with Clorox wipes or alcohol 70% if available.
Clean all door handles, light switches, surfaces with antiviral/bacterial cleaners. Don't hug or shake hands. Spray down mail or packages with wipes. You can also use either a plug in air ionizer pureairionizer.com
or they make a whole room UV light sanitizer on uvsterilizex.com they make for surfaces/rooms.
UV light is highly effective at killing viruses.
The three main types of UV rays are UVA, UVB, and UVC. Because UVC rays have the shortest wavelength, and therefore highest energy, they are capable of killing bacteria and viruses, also called pathogens.
Regarding prescriptions if they run out another doctor, Dr. Nicole Apelian has recently come up with alternative herbal remedies along with natural plants to use. She has some great coronavirus tips but please don't discount her as she has a PHD and is a herbalist because an unexpected diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2000 led Nicole to apply her research skills towards her own personal wellness. She was selected on history channel back in 2015 on a survival show called Alone.

Here are some additional proactive tips coming from several doctors on coronavirus. If you have a compromised immune system or just want to boost it against this virus here are some proactive measures that can help according to pulmonologist Dr. Seheult. & John Campbell. Make sure you are not Zinc deficient and start a daily dose 10-50 micrograms (400-2000 IU). of Vitamin D, get some daily sun in. Getting more than 50 micrograms reduces the positive effect. Taking this amount reduces respiratory infection by 50%. During the beginning of the H1N1 outbreak many nurses recall docs prescribing Vit D. Also quercetin was mentioned as a supplement. It was used against SARS, Ebola and Zika. Either way consult with a physician before starting any supplement. Quercetin dihydrate provides better bioavailability.
