THROAT Evo from Antares is a plug-in tool that allows for processing a vocal through a meticulously crafted physical model of the human vocal tract. The software begins by neutralizing the effect of the original singer's vocal tract and then providing the ability to specify new characteristics of a modeled vocal tract.
Specifically, the software controls allow the user to modify the voice's glottal waveform, as well as globally stretch, shorten, widen or constrict the modeled vocal tract. For even more detailed control, the graphical Throat Shaping display allows for individually adjusting the position and width of 5 points in the vocal tract model - from the vocal chords, through the throat, mouth and out to the lips.
THROAT Evo's Breathiness controls let the user add variable frequency noise to the model, resulting in a range of vocal effects from a full rasp, to subtle breathiness, and on to a full whisper. Also possible is pitch shifting the voice up or down an octave to create a wide range of alternative vocal characters.
Functioning as an Audio Units, RTAS or VST plug-in for Mac OS X or Windows based audio software, the range of controls found within THROAT Evo also allow for the creation of vocal tract models well beyond the limits of physical human anatomy.

Rambler Gambler (vocal) www.ronstadt-linda.com/RamblerGambler-edited.mp3
You should be able to click and listen, or right click and save on your computer.
Also, to download the original version, use this link within the next 7 days:
Rambler Gambler wetransfer.com/downloads/37d0587ce52624118ad06c4c4954eea720200111052809/788f87
Multi-channel mixes of many artists are available to tinker with and remix but to my knowledge none of Linda's master tapes have been leaked.
This Rambler Gambler turned out very well, probably because the sparse instrumentation was easy to remove. My initial task was to take the version of Desperado that is on the Concert Behind Prison Walls CD and remove the announcer voiceover.
I use a program called RX 7 Audio Editor to play with these files, but any one of the forum members can do it with an online utility. I was unaware of it but a fan from Argentina turned me on to the website moises.ai -- moises.ai/ With this website, you can upload your sound file and separate vocals from instruments. You can apparently even isolate separate instruments. It is this website that I used for Rambler Gambler, although I also shortened the silences between phrases.

INTERNET ARCHIVE
archive.org/search.php?query=linda%20ronstadt
About the Internet Archive
The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, people with print disabilities, and the general public. Our mission is to provide Universal Access to All Knowledge.
We began in 1996 by archiving the Internet itself, a medium that was just beginning to grow in use. Like newspapers, the content published on the web was ephemeral - but unlike newspapers, no one was saving it. Today we have 25+ years of web history accessible through the Wayback Machine and we work with 950+ library and other partners through our Archive-It program to identify important web pages.
As our web archive grew, so did our commitment to providing digital versions of other published works. Today our archive contains:
625 billion web pages 38 million books and texts 14 million audio recordings (including 240,000 live concerts) 7 million videos (including 2 million Television News programs) 4 million images 790,000 software programs Anyone with a free account can upload media to the Internet Archive. We work with thousands of partners globally to save copies of their work into special collections.
Because we are a library, we pay special attention to books. Not everyone has access to a public or academic library with a good collection, so to provide universal access we need to provide digital versions of books. We began a program to digitize books in 2005 and today we scan 4,000 books per day in 18 locations around the world. Books published prior to 1927 are available for download, and hundreds of thousands of modern books can be borrowed through our Open Library site. One of the Internet Archive's missions is to serve people who have difficulty interacting with physical books, so most of our digitized books are available to people with print disabilities (learn about access here).
Like the Internet, television is also an ephemeral medium. We began archiving television programs in late 2000, and our first public TV project was an archive of TV news surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. In 2009 we began to make selected U.S. television news broadcasts searchable by captions in our TV News Archive. This service allows researchers and the public to use television as a citable and sharable reference.
The Internet Archive serves millions of people each day and is one of the top 300 web sites in the world. A single copy of the Internet Archive library collection occupies 99+ Petabytes of server space (and we store at least 2 copies of everything). We are funded through donations, grants, and by providing web archiving and book digitization services for our partners. As with most libraries we value the privacy of our patrons, so we avoid keeping the IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of our readers and offer our site in https (secure) protocol.
You can find information about our projects on our blog (including important announcements), contact us, buy swag in our store, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Welcome to the library!

Linda Ronstadt was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Sparkling. Rock. Versatile. Linda Ronstadt's voice was unlike any other. She expanded from her country and folk-rock roots to cover nearly every genre imaginable. Ronstadt - a perfectionist and true master of her craft - never met a song she couldn't interpret. To discuss Linda's remarkable music career would be to place equal emphasis on all the kinds of music she has sung, from folk and folk rock, to country and country rock, to pop rock and hard rock, to Gilbert and Sullivan and Puccini, to American songbook standards, to Mexican ranchera, to Afro-Cuban, to jazz. It's kind of amazing. More on rockhall.com www.rockhall.com/inductees/linda-ronstadt

UNPAYWALLHow to Get Past a Paywall to Read an Article for FreeThe best tools to bypass any paywall (although you should still support journalism if you can). By Pranay Parab UpdatedAugust 7, 2023 lifehacker.com/how-to-get-past-a-paywall-to-read-an-article-for-free-1847800292
Archive the page to bypass the paywall
Archive.today is a website that archives any website you paste the link on their bar. It’s like taking a screenshot of any website with a time stamp (a self-described “time capsule,” if you will). It “saves a text and a graphical copy of the page for better accuracy” and gives you a short link to an unalterable record of any web page. And you can use this to read the entire article and bypass the paywall. If the website you’re trying to bypass isn’t already archived (it would show up after pasting the link on the black “I want to search the archive for saved snapshots” bar), then put it on the red “My URL is alive and I want to archive its content.” This tool has worked 100% of the time I have used it.
