Linda Ronstadt - July 15 1 of 51
At age 70, Donald Trump is the oldest president ever to take office, but in another way, he's a familiar figure. His inauguration will mark the first time we've ever had three presidents born in the same year.
Trump, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton were all born between June and August 1946, a generation younger than any previous president. (Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush were both born in 1924).
If you had to pick a year to be born, 1946 isn't a bad choice. World War II had just ended the previous August, so as you entered the workforce, there weren't as many people right ahead of you on the ladder. There was one big hurdle in the way--the War in Vietnam--but all three of the future presidents managed to avoid it.
The number of Americans born jumped from 2.8 million in 1945 to 3.4 million in 1946, marking a clear beginning to the Baby Boom. Besides three presidents, there's a First Lady, two major directors, three baseball and football Hall of Famers who played in the Bay Area, and a ton of other celebrities.
