As we all know, on November 18, Linda was honored by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) for her tireless activism for Mexican-Americans, and her fight against the shameless bigotry happening against immigrants in her home state of Arizona. Here is the video from MALDEF that celebrates her achievements:
Wonderful tribute to Linda. I feel proud to have been part of the Phoenix march with her, Dolores Huerta and 10,000 others! I realized how old I was on that very day walking those many miles. While Linda got into a nice SUV at the end of the march (after the mini-concert) I had to walk back to the Phoenix park to our car when at the halfway point a truckload of friendly immigrants honked at us (my Mex-Am buddy and me), pulled over and motioned for us to jump on for a ride back to the park. That made as much of an impression (positive) on me as the march itself. There is something so wonderful about having Mexican immigrants in our community. I just love them, their generousity and cheerfulness even in difficult times. And sadly, so many of them have left our state. We did manage to get rid of Russell Pearce who takes credit for SB1070 but in truth it was written by ALEC (a right wing corporate group of hacks)

Hopefully our wicked witch of a governor will be the next to be ousted along with her majority party who has done so much to harm our state.
A few of the photos I took that day:
