Emmylou and Lindas friendship goes way back in history. They started to record togheter in 1973 when Linda Joined Emmylou and Gram Parsons in the studio when they recorded the song «In My Hour Of Darkness» written by Gram and Emmylou❤️
When Emmylou started to record her second solo album «Pieces of the Sky» in October 1974, Linda joined her on the song «Queen og The Silver Dollar» in late 1975 Linda sang Harmonies on Emmylous third album «Elite Hotel» on the songs «Amarillo» and on» Till I Gain Control Again» ..
Emmylou Harris joined Linda Ronstadt when she recorded her album «Prisoner In Disguise» in 1975 and recorded «The Sweetest Gift» and «Honky Tonk Blues» (a song that wasnt released)
In 1978 Dolly Parton joined Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt and they recorded a whole album as a Trio. The album was produced by Emmylous husband and producer, the great Brian Ahern. They decided not to release the album. But ok Emmylou’s album « Blue Kentucky Girl» that was released in 1979 Linda and Dolly sang Harmonies on the song «Even Cowgirls Get the Blues». In 1980 Emmylou Harris relased the album «Roses in The Snow» and Like again joined Emmylou on the song «Gold watch and Chain»
In 1985 Emmylou relased the album « The Ballad of Sally Rose» and Linda as well as Dolly sang on many of the songs.
In 1987 Emmylou, Linda and Dolly Parton finally released a whole album called «Trio» it was a monster hit and sold millions.
In 1994 The Trio again recorded a new album, the album was delayed until 1999. Again it was a huge hit.
The same year Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt recorded a duet album, called «Western Wall» a album they had wanted tp dp since 1973 when They first met in 1973. They did a small promotion TV tour.
Western Wall was well received critically, and it made several year-end Top Ten lists. The album was recorded at the Arizona Inn in Tucson, Arizona.
This album hit #6 on Billboard's Country albums chart and #73 on Billboard's main album chart. The two artists teamed for a concert tour in support of the album in late 1999. It was nominated for several Grammy Award.
In 2016 The Fourth album by the Trio was relased with alot of unreleased material from previous sessions..
