What happened to GENE CLARK?
Gene Clark was a founding member of The Byrds. He and the band coined a whole new genre of folk. He then went on to pioneer country rock. Clark's songs have been covered by musicians of all genres, and his legacy endures.

This is a pre-recorded backing track with live vocals. Unfortunately Gene & David's mics are mixed low, so we don't quite get the full "Byrds Splendor" as far as the harmonies go.

This and the Sullivan shows are the only colour footage that I know of from the "Original 5".
Michael Landon being the host on this October evening, he was riding high on "Bonanza" at the time.
