Linda toured with The Bus Boys from September as her opening act. During her first show in Nevada cigarette smoke drifted in from other parts of the venue and Linda requested a no smoking policy while she was there. There was a concert scheduled for Sep 29th in Denver Colorado that was cancelled due to poor management that resulted in low ticket sales (only 3000 reported sold) The Oct 4th show was a free concert for students to encourage them to vote, Margot Kidder also appeared. The Radio City Music Hall dates sold out 3 of the 6 shows. She was reported to have played 14 shows at Universal Ampitheatre.

Remembering the 1982 rally against nuclear arms Bryan Farrell June 12, 2009 1982nycprotest
Today marks the 27th anniversary of the largest protest in NYC history. Upwards of one million people gathered on the Great Lawn in Central Park to rally against nuclear weapons while the UN held a Special Session on Disarmament. Two days later 1,600 demonstrators were involved in acts of civil disobedience at the consulates of five countries.
The Nation ran an editorial two weeks later heaping significant praise on the days’ events:
It was a good refresher course in the power of civil disobedience–deliberate, nonviolent violations of valid laws through which protesters invite punishment or injury to themselves in order to call attention to matters of overriding moral urgency. As carried out by the antinuclear protesters last week, the action was lawbreaking in the spirit of fidelity to law.
The following video does a good job of recapping the protest and the events that led up to it.

PEACE SUNDAY: THE JOURNEY
Published on Jul 24, 2012 "Peace Sunday, The Journey", documents the evolution of an event that first took place in 1982 out of a mass movement called "The Nuclear Freeze" which was born during the height of the Cold War as the United States and the Soviet Union engaged in the nuclear arms race. Peace Sunday was produced by a coalition of peace/justice and Interfaith groups and was staged at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and attended by nearly 100,000 who heard performances from Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Joan Baez, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne among others, and notable speakers such as Mohammed Ali, Rev. Jessie Jackson. Dolores Huerta and others. The Unity and Diversity World Council, a Los Angeles Interfaith and peace non-profit organization, has picked up the ball and has produced annual Peace Sunday events in different locations throughout the LA area for the past thirteen years. This year the event has been expanded to Peace Sunday/ Peace Fest 2012, a three day festival including exhibit booths and an innovative peace education process called a "Convergence". Peace Sunday / Peace Fest 2012 is taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 21-23, at the IMAN Cultural Center, 3376 Motor Ave., Palms, Los Angeles, 90034.Peace Sunday: We Have a Dream Concert 1982 June 6, 1982 Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA
