Forging your own musical path when you’re the son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti is no mean feat, but after playing sax in his father’s band as a teenager Femi Kuti is now 11 albums deep into his own distinct musical world. And the family legacy of writing political music you can dance to continues. Femi's son, Made Kuti, has released his debut album alongside his father’s new one. Legacy + is out now, and Andrew speaks to Femi Kuti from his home in Nigeria.

And from the 30th anniversary archive: Linda Ronstadt from 2006. She spoke to Andrew Ford on the release of one of her last albums, Adieu False Heart and just prior to her diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, which stopped her singing. Here Linda shows how at ease she was singing Nelson Riddle arrangements of American popular song, traditional Mexican canciones and of course country music gems with Emmylou and Dolly.
