I believe that was the last time the Stone Poneys ever played together as a band. I am guessing the artwork was done by a high school graphics art class student. I had my copy framed before it got ruined. It is on a thick paper.

I notice this one had 58th St and McDowell Phoenix Armory but Palo Verde High School Gymnasium is written over that.

scribe says Mine just says Palo Verde High School. I have it in storage. I don't think it is written over anything or I would have noticed it.
That is odd about the Armory. I didn't think they had concerts there but most likely they used extra posters to advertise it. I will have to find it and look at the date on it. Interesting.

The Armory is a strange place in Phoenix. It is nestled among the McDowell Mountains. Black helicopters coming and going and the famous Phoenix Lights UFO sighting went right over it on its way to Tempe where it scared the crap out of tens of thousands of people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights
I believe the poster is modeled after one of my favorite Ronstadt/Poneys singles cover sleeves ....High Muddy Water.
It was thoughtful of Linda's mom to send this to me. She sent me a nice letter as well. She had the same scrapbooks I later sent to you when you were starting the new improved fan website. Her fingerprints are all over them May she rest in peace. What a wonderful woman she was. So down to Earth. No wonder Linda turned out like she did. Her parents example served her well.
Did you buy that poster?
So she must have played the Armory in Phoenix on the 7th. Then back down to Tucson and played the high school on the 8th for the last time as a band. History in the making.
found this:
so I wonder where they actually played on the May 7 date? both places? Brophy Prep is just a few miles from the Armory so maybe both....it is a Catholic school in downtown Phoenix....
